Despite the fact that schools are expected to reopen in the U.K. sometime this summer, one report by The Sunday Times claims to know that Prince William and Kate Middleton are seriously thinking of keeping their daughter, Princess Charlotte, at home anyway! Apparently, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge just wish to keep Charlotte and her one year younger brother, George, 5, together ‘to maintain their lockdown routine’ amid the current global pandemic.
As fans of the Royal Family are aware, both kids go to Thomas’s school in Battersea, London.
While the little girl is in ‘reception,’ the boy is in ‘year 2.’
What that means is that they would end up being separated since George’s age group is not going to have to go back to school.
The publication explained that the school they attend is ‘expected to follow government guidance on schools, bringing back only children in reception, year 1 and year 6 in to the classroom—not George’s year group. The private school will make a final decision this week.’
As it seems, the royal couple would rather send both of their kids back to school at the same time but since that doesn’t seem possible right now, they are considering keeping Charlotte at home as well, until George can finally go back to class.
Kate previously opened up about her family and how they have been holding up during this scary time.
‘I’m sure you’re experiencing the same yourselves with your families and things but we’re stuck with homeschooling again, but no, yeah, it’s unprecedented times really but we’re fine, thank you for asking,’ she shared during an interview earlier this month.
She also talked homeschooling the young ones, saying that ‘George gets very upset because he wants to do all of Charlotte’s projects…making sort of spider sandwiches is far cooler than literacy work.’
