Prank house gift-wrapped by influencer Shammi Prasad up for grabs

Gold Coast influencer Jashan Prasad and wife Cassie have listed their family home which doubled as a set for outrageous pranks with brother Shammi, who covered the huge house entirely in gift wrapping paper for Christmas.

The Upper Coomera home was the nation’s most viewed property for sale on realestate.com.au last week.

And with the auction scheduled for December 5, fans have asked if the double-storey house will again be wrapped in festive style for the new owners.

Video creators Jashan and Cassie built the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home on a 701 sqm lot in 2017. Features include a home cinema, office, games room with bar, and a recently renovated resort-style pool and al fresco entertaining area.

The property is marketed by Ray White Upper Coomera agent Brad Wilson and was described as “the perfect family home”.

It has appeared in many comedic videos created by the Prasads. Shammi is the most notorious of the clan, with close to 30m followers across platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram. In 2020, he was slammed for dumping all his roommate’s possessions from their home into a skip bin.

More dangerous stunts have included being towed in a kayak tied to the back of a car, and BASE jumpers diving from his 50-storey apartment building in Southport.

Jashan and Cassie, who share a daughter, Harmony, 1, posted a video announcing they were “parting ways … with the house”.

“This place has a lot of memories for us and it’s going to auction in a few weeks time, which is pretty weird,” he said.

“I want one of you guys to buy it, so we can sort of still have some attachment to it.”

Built by Metricon Homes in the popular Coomera Springs development, the commanding home has an open floor plan with three living areas downstairs and bedrooms upstairs, including the master with a private balcony.

There’s also a shed and epoxy-floored double garage, along with a spacious landscaped backyard.

Property records show Mr and Mrs Prasad paid $255,000 for the corner block in 2016. The pool was added this year.

“This stunning house is the perfect family home,” the listing by Mr Wilson states.

“The open floor plan creates a seamless flow between the living, dining and kitchen areas, making it ideal for entertaining guests.”

Mr Wilson said the master-planned community of Coomera Springs had more than 1000 residential lots set around a lake and parklands with extensive recreational facilities including boardwalks and barbecue areas.

Most properties were owner-occupied, with the community spirit particularly evident during December when the estate lit up with spectacular Christmas lights.
