Nick Carter and his wife, Lauren Kitt have welcomed their second child, a daughter, after Kitt suffering a miscarriage last year.
Us Weekly is reporting the bundle of joy was born on Wednesday, October 2nd. A rep for the Backstreet Boys singer confirmed the news to the weekly magazine but did not share details. The past week Carter has been expressing how excited he was to meet the baby via Instagram.
Although the couple has not publicly released the news or shared details on social media, their road to expanding their family was challenging. Last September, Carter revealed Kitt suffered a miscarriage, losing a baby girl.

“God give us peace during this time. I was really looking forward to meeting her after 3 months. I’m heartbroken. I don’t think I can perform tonight. I’m sorry, Lima,” he wrote on Twitter.
Kitt later opened up about the miscarriage on what would have been her due date for the baby she lost.
“As a woman I am supposed to create life and failing to do so feels like failure as a human. accept circumstances out of our control, and I’ve moved on from my losses. Days like today remind me just how fortunate I am to have a healthy child, and how BADASS women are, how much we endure with a smile on our face. Thankfully I have access to great doctors and healthcare professionals, but sadly many women don’t so,” Kitt said in an Instagram post.
The Carters have been open regarding their fertility struggles. Before their 3-year-old son, Odin, Kitt suffered her first miscarriage. They suffered two devastating losses but are blessed to have their two children.

Nick has been in the middle of a family feud with younger brother Aaron Carter recently. The latter reportedly threatened Kitt and the unborn child, resulting in Nick getting a restraining order against his sibling. He even hired more security as Aaron began to unravel with guns and threats of killing people on social media.
The younger Carter did recently issued an apology to his older brother. Ironically it was the same day Nick’s second daughter was born. Nick has yet to respond to the apology. In the apology, Aaron asks for peace and admits he was hurt that his brother has not tried harder to be part of his life.
