First wave of artists announced for Isle of Wight Festival 2019

The first wave of artists for the Isle of Wight Festival 2019 have been announced and it’s safe to say that festival goers are in for a treat this year.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline the opening night of the festival, whilst Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro will bring things to a close on Sunday June 16.

‘Shotgun’ singer George Ezra will headline the main stage on the Saturday, whilst special guest Fatboy Slim, who makes his IOW debut, will keep the party going until the early hours following George’s set.

CelebMix favourites Anne-Marie, Bastille, Jax Jones, Jess Glynne, Lily Allen, Sigala, and Sigrid will perform across the weekend, and are bound to deliver must-see sets.

Also confirmed to perform are Courteeners, Dean Lewis, DMA’S, Freya Ridings, Gerry Cinnamon, IDLES, James, KT Tunstall, Madness, Miles Kane, Mystery Jets, Richard Ashcroft, Rick Astley, Sam Fender, The Coral, Tom Walker, and Wild Front.

More acts are due to be announced nearer the time.

The Isle of Wight Festival 2019 returns on June 13-16. Tickets for this year’s event go on sale from the IOW Festival website on Friday (January 25) at 9am.
